The official Twitter account of Haikyu!! announced on Sunday, April 17, 2022, that Shueisha will release the new one-shot in the combined 21st and 22nd issues of Weekly Shonen Jump, scheduled to be released on April 25. The chapter will have a center color page.
The 19-page one-shot will feature Tetsuro Kuroo. He works in the Japan Volleyball Association Competition Promotion Division, and will bring his high school friends who are active as the world’s top players to the event in order to hold a special match that transcends the boundaries of the national and affiliated teams to increase the number of volleyball fans.
Haruichi Furudate‘s one-shot will be published to commemorate the Haikyuu x V. League All-Star Special Match scheduled for Aug 13-14, 2022, and is also a part of the 10th-anniversary celebration project of the manga.
Furudate’s Haikyu!! manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020. The chapters were collected into forty-five tankōbon volumes. The plot follows Shoyo Hinata, a boy determined to become a great volleyball player despite his small stature.
Haikyu!! received an anime adaptation by Production I.G in 2014. The anime went on to have three more seasons, with the second cour of Season 4, which had 12 episodes, airing from October to December 2020.
