The official X account of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime revealed that the 6th episode of the ongoing Season 2, which was originally scheduled to release on Feb 20, 2026, has now been delayed.
The delay has been caused due to the programming changes on Nippon TV, which broadcasts the anime in Japan. On Feb 20, the channel will instead air the 1500m Speed Skating event from the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Due to this, Frieren Season 2 Episode 6 (episode 34 overall) will now air the week after, on Feb 27, 2026. The one week delay comes on the back of the anime announcing that its new arc.
Frieren anime will start adapting the Divine Revolte arc starting with episode 6, which will introduce a new adversary — the Demon General Revolte (voiced by Shinichiro Miki).
Methode and the proctor Genau, who made an appearance in Season 1, will return for this arc.
A new key visual was revealed to commemorate this announcement.
