Fire Force Season 3 began with the screams of Infernals during the first Great Cataclysm. The episode continued with Squad 8 training at the top of their base and reintroductions of the main cast.
Shinra and Arthur are shown to be busy “training” by doing their shenanigans like being at each other’s throats and driving others around them insane. Meanwhile, the other train with each other while Iris uses technology to help them train.
Also, how will an episode of Fire Force be complete without Tamaki somehow losing her clothes? It has happened so many times now that Iris even makes a joke about it.
The episode further dwells into the White Clad with Haumea barging into the Sol Temple and discussing their plans in front of Captain Leonard Burns. Using her ability the “Talking Head”, Haumea convinces Burns to join her side which drives a rift between the 8th Squad and ultimately puts them against the Tokyo Empire.
She delves deeper into the unsolved questions about the series’s lore such as the Great Cataclysm and its importance and how its execution will mean a better world when merged with Adolla. She uses the counters thrown by Leonard and his team against her reasoning to convert them.
Her deep knowledge about Adolla and Burns’ devotion towards the Solar God and seeing the sight of the Evangelist convinces Burns to join her.
However, the driving force behind Squad 8’s defiance against the Tokyo Empire is the arrest of their Captain Obi Akitaru by the White Clad who have infiltrated the empire somehow. The squad understands that the main reason for this could be to steal Shinra’s Adolla Burst.
This ensures that the upcoming episodes are going to be filled with amazing action and deeper exploration of the series’s lore. You will need to catch up with the previous seasons before diving into the 3rd season.
We might also get to see how this world ties to becoming the world of Soul Eater, as both the series are written by Atsushi Ohkubo. The 3rd season is animated by David Production just like the previous 2 seasons.
The opening theme song, titled “High Flame,” performed by the band Queen Bee was previewed in the official trailer released during the IGN Fan Fest 2025. The anime will be aired on Crunchyroll beginning from April 4, 2025 PST.
