On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Hajime Isayam’s Attack on Titan manga would be ending in April 2021. While Isayama had already hinted at the series coming to an end soon, fans do not seem to be ready for what is in store for them.
The final chapter will release on April 9, 2021, in the May edition of Besatsu Shonen magazine. With this news, fans who have been following the series for over a decade are finding it hard to cope with the imminent end of their favourite series.
Isayama had hinted that the story of Attack on Titan was 98% complete in November 2020. Without concrete dates, fans were hoping for the series to continue a bit more. However, with the date of ending now confirmed, fans are finding it hard to believe that the series is really ending in four months.
Some even managed to find out the symbolism of the 139th chapter. With Isayama’s history of brilliant foreshadowing and use of symbolism this shouldn’t really come as a surprise.
Even people who don’t read the manga seem to be having a hard time!
