Late Argentine football legend Diego Maradona’s Facebook account got hacked on May 24, 2023, with the hacker posting numerous controversial messages on his feed.

It doesn’t end there, the hacker also went on to add fuel to the fire, and incited other fan wars too. One such instance included praising Messi whilst calling Ronaldo stupid.

They made sure to be all high-key about the hack, and went to the length of saying “You do know that I (Maradona) faked my own death right?,” and that heaven doesn’t have coke but only Pepsi.

However, a hacker came out right after all the fun to confess on how they got hold of the account. Turns out a Russian hacker had given access to the account to a lot of individuals.

This person, like all the others, received an email notification stating that “X Russian account has granted you access”.

This person also said that they want nothing out of it and was not involved in it personally and will be logging out, at the same time with a warning that there are others who have access to the account too.

They requested everyone to report it to Facebook authorities.
