Anime streaming giants Crunchyroll recently posted an opening for a job position at their organization. And based on the requirements that were given in it, it is possible that the company is planning to launch an all new vertical.
In what could turn out to be a very exciting development for anime fans world-wide, Crunchyroll is planning to launch its very own linear TV vertical, probably titled the Crunchyroll Channel.
The company is currently on the look-out for a manager for the Crunchyroll Channel, with over 5+ years of experience in media/television or related industry.
The channel is set to launch in ‘key markets’ globally. However, nothing much is known about which markets Crunchyroll considers key for the channel, nor do we have any concrete information about the launch date.
The Manager, Crunchyroll Channel will drive development and management of the Crunchyroll Channel (linear TV) in key markets globally, in concert with internal and external partners, delivering on and contributing to content and user acquisition strategy.

They will closely partner with the distribution, programming, operations, and marketing organizations in support of global commerce objectives as well as the corporate objectives across all divisions.
The Manager, Crunchyroll Channel reports to the VP, Global Content Distribution.
Animehunch Team has reached out to Crunchyroll for more details regarding the channel.
Crunchyroll, Inc. is an American distributor, publisher, production and licensing company focused on streaming anime, manga, and dorama. It was founded in 2006 by a group of Berkeley (University of California) graduates. It was acquired by Sony in 2021 from AT&T.
Since then, Crunchyroll has expanded its horizon and launched new plans to penentrate into markets in which it previously didn’t have a major presence, including India.
The platform now serves over a 100 million users worldwide.
Note: This is a developing story, more details will be added as when we get them.
