As Jigen has established himself as the main villain in the Boruto series, you must’ve searched, “Is Jigen stronger than Naruto?”. Well, you’ve come to the right place! In this article, I’ll explain who’s stronger, Naruto or Jigen! So without any further ado, let’s get right into it!
Note: This article contains spoilers from the manga, please read at your own discretion!
Before we directly jump to conclusions. Let’s understand Naruto’s opponent Jigen first!
So, Who Is Jigen?
Jigen is the leader of the Kara Organisation. Kara’s main goal is to obtain the planet’s chakra fruit. Being an Otsutsuki, Jigen has a ton of attacks up his sleeve. However, Jigen was originally a human, he became an Otsutsuki later! Isshiki Otsutsuki entered his body through his ear after shrinking to survive Kaguya’s attack. Then, he eventually gained complete control over Jigen’s body and embedded the Karma seal on him. With revenge on his mind, Jigen (or rather Issihiki) created the Kara organisation. Is Jigen Stronger Than Naruto?
The direct answer would be yes, definitely. While this may surprise the anime-only fans who stuck through to read spoilers; Jigen is a monster. A pure monster. Other inners of Kara like Kashin Koji, Delta and Boro and aren’t even comparable!
So, let’s understand what makes Jigen so strong!
- God-like Physical Ability:
Jigen is extremely good at hand-to-hand combat and at using weapons as well! Not only is Jigen capable of predicting and blocking attacks of Naruto and Sasuke; his pure strength is overwhelming as well! A single kick was enough to send Naruto flying; shocking the 7th Hokage. Nonetheless, Jigen remains in his peak physical state even after 1000 years due to Amado’s scientific tools and Karma Seal.
If you thought that this was enough for his physical strength, then you’re way off the mark. Jigen’s body is highly durable. Enduring enough to stand off against Sage of Six Paths Naruto with ease. As a matter of fact, he barely took any damage from a lot of Naruto’s physical hits! He is also lightning fast, which allows him to keep up with Naruto and Sasuke’s simultaneous attacks.
- Massive Chakra Reserves:
As Isshiki controls Jigen’s body, the latter also gets to access Isshiki’s chakra reserves. Being an Otsutsuki, Isshiki’s chakra reserves are bigger than that of Naruto with Kurama. While Jigen cannot use all of Isshiki’s chakra due to his body’s limits; his body is surely strong enough to contain ample of Isshiki’s chakra. This chakra level is enough to destroy a village or two at the very least! This insane level of Chakra allows Jigen to fight using several demanding Jutsus.
Karma is undoubtedly Jigen’s biggest source of strength. Moreover, this Karma seal isn’t of just any Otsutsuki, it is Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Karma Seal. For those of you who don’t know much about Isshiki; just know that he is the strongest being in the Naruto and Boruto universe. Even other Otsutsukis like Momoshiki and Kaguya’s strength falls short against Isshiki. In fact, Isshiki is so strong that Kaguya had to sneak attack him to have a chance at killing him!
So, how much does Isshiki’s Karma affect Jigen’s strength?
Karma is basically all of Jigen’s strength. Jigen is strong enough to spar against and pressure Naruto and Sasuke with rather ease. All of his chakra and physical strength comes from Karma as well.
The seal also grants Isshiki’s signature ability to Jigen; changing object’s size and storing them in a special dimension. This ability is insane! Jigen can shrink and unshrink the size of anything other than living beings according to will almost instantly. He used this in combat heavily; by attacking with shrunken chakra rods and expanding them as soon as they hit the target. He also uses this technique to assert his dominance. He grabs a glass of his favourite wine out of nothingness by waving his hand in the air during a fight. Yes, you read that right.
Moreover, if Isshiki activates the Karma Seal, then it’s game over for everybody! During his fight against Naruto and Sasuke, Isshiki was forced to activate the Karma Seal. Well, can you guess what happened next? Utter domination. Jigen was so overpowered it’s not even funny. Do you think that Madara was overpowered against 5 kages and the Allied Shinobi Forces? Turn that up a notch against the two strongest shinobis in their prime.
Within moments of using the Karma amplification, Jigen destroyed Naruto and Sasuke; where the former ended up sealed and the latter was critically injured! Fortunately, Jigen’s body has its limits. The vessel’s human body could not withstand the duo’s destructive power combined with the Karma seal’s damage; causing Jigen to retreat and rest for at least two days to return back to normal.
With that said, you must have a clear idea about Jigen’s monstrous strength by now. His battle against Naruto and Sasuke had me praying for plot armour; as it seemed the duo was completely doomed. It felt like their death was certain. Gladly, Jigen’s body isn’t competent enough to handle Isshiki, sparing Naruto and Sasuke’s lives.
In Conclusion, Jigen overpowers both Naruto and Sasuke by a huge margin. A one on one fight between Jigen and Naruto wouldn’t even last for a few minutes. Jigen is way too much for Naruto to handle all alone.
Jigen would completely own Naruto in a one-on-one fight. In fact, Jigen with his Karma off would be troublesome for Naruto to deal with; as the Hokage might barely survive. This makes it clear that Jigen with Karma turned on would be way too much for Naruto. Even the consequences of using the Karma Seal would feel inconsequential; as it is highly likely that Naruto wouldn’t even survive for more than a few minutes.
With that said, what do you think about Jigen’s monstrous strength? Is he too overpowered? Does it make you think that Naruto and Sasuke’s deaths are inevitable? Let us know in the comments below!
