Demon Slayer anime won the best anime of 2019. The fans of the show from around the globe have been waiting eagerly for the release date of the movie, since it was announced. The major reason which makes the movie must watch is the fact that the Demon Slayer: Infinity train movie is considered “canon”, meaning it will adapt the content from the manga. The movie will adapt the “Demon Train” arc from the manga, featuring the flame pillar (hashira) Kyojuro Rengoku. It will serve as a direct sequel to the TV anime adaptation.

The new visual and PV offers a glimpse of the characters as well as the demon Enmu that Tanjirou, Zenitsu and Inosuke will encounter aboard the train. The gang is hoping to meet Kyujuro in the train, from whom Tanjiro wants to learn more about the Dance of the Fire god.

The movie is being made under the banner of Ufotable and directed by Haruo Satozaki,w who also directed the television anime of Demon Slayer. The movie’s distribution will be handled by Aniplex and TOHO.

Based on Kyoharu Gotouge’s manga of the same name, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba rose to popularity since the anime debuted last year in April. The manga, which debuted on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016, has been compiled into 19 volumes in February. The manga was even able to overtake Eiichiro Oda’s long running One Piece, in terms of manga sales.

The anime will be looking to build on its success with the movie. Demon Slayer: Infinity Train movie’s release date has only been finalized for Japan. However, considering that the anime has a global fanbase, it is only a matter of time before the release date of the movie in other countries is announced.
