It was revealed in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s issue# 46 that Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days will be getting adapted into a novel, which will feature an exclusive story.
The novel adaptation is set to release in the spring of 2023. Exact date is to be revealed yet.
Sakamoto Days manga was featured on the cover page of the magazine’s 46th issue, released on Oct 17, 2022, to commemorate the manga’s second anniversary.
Additionally the manga will be getting a special cover illustration by Gege Akutami for its 9th volume, which will release on Nov 4, 2022.
Sakamoto Days is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump in November 2020. It is simultaneously published in English by Viz Media and the Manga Plus online platform.
The manga chapters are yet to be published in a tankobon volume.
The plot of the manga is described as:
Taro Sakamoto used to be an unrivalled hitman, earning legendary status in the underworld. But one day, the unthinkable happened. Sakamoto fell in love. He started dating, retired, got married, and had a kid, growing overweight as a result. Though now working as a humble convenience store owner, the world of hitmen still follows him. Sakamoto, along with Shin, a young man with telepathy and employee at his small store, will protect his humble life and family, or die trying.
