Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation has returned with a strong global launch, as the second season, which is titled Into the Grand Line, secured the top spot on the platform’s worldwide charts in its debut week.

According to data released by Netflix, the series recorded 16.8 million views and amassed 136.2 million hours watched during the March 9–15 tracking period.

Despite a slight dip compared to Season 1’s debut, which recorded 18.5 million views in 2023, the new installment still emerged as the most-watched television title globally during the tracking period.

The new season managed to enter the Top 10 rankings in 92 countries. It ranked No. 1 in multiple regions, including Japan, Mexico, France, and Italy, and placed No. 4 in the United States.

The arrival of Season 2 also reignited interest in the first installment. Season 1 of the live-action adaptation re-entered the charts at No. 7 for the same week, pulling in an additional 3.6 million views.

The second season officially premiered on March 10, continuing the Straw Hat crew’s journey into the Grand Line. Its launch was supported by a simultaneous theatrical rollout, with the first two episodes screened in more than 200 theaters across Canada, the United States, and Japan.

It adapted five consecutive story arcs from Eiichiro Oda’s original source material – Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island – detailing the crew’s encounters with the Marine officer Smoker and the bounty hunter syndicate Baroque Works, alongside their recruitment of the reindeer doctor Tony Tony Chopper.
