One Piece Film: Red’s New Genesis Theme Song Crosses 100 Million Views

The official twitter account of Ado announced on Dec 19, 2022, that the official music video for One Piece Film: Red‘s theme song, New Genesis, which she performed has crossed 100 million views on YouTube.

The video crossed the milestone six months after its release. The lyrics and composition for ‘New Genesis’ was handled by Yasutaka Nakata.

Ado was the singing voice of Uta in One Piece Film: Red. In addition to New Genesis, she also performed 7 songs in the movie, namely – ‘I am the strongest’, ‘Backlight’, ‘Tot Musica’, ‘Continuing the world’, ‘Utakata Lullaby’, and ‘Kaze no Yukue’.

As of Dec 19, 2022, One Piece Film: Red movie has stayed in Japanese Box Office’s top 10 for 20 consecutive weeks. The movie earned over 18.5 billion yen during this period.

The movie opened in Japan on Aug 6, 2022, collecting over 2 billion yen in its first weekend. It released in US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in November 2022, and grossed over USD 10 million dollar in North America alone.

The movie features and centers on the mysterious character Uta, who is teased to be Shanks daughter in the teaser. Uta is voiced by Kaori Nazuka (voice cast) and Ado (singing cast).
