The November oversized issue of Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine announced today that the first JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure franchise’s spinoff manga (besides Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan) will launch in the magazine’s January 2022 issue on December 18.
It will focus on the character Josuke Higashikata in Morioh from the series’ fourth part Diamond is Unbreakable before Josuke’s stand Crazy Diamond came to be.
This arc was also the inspiration for the third season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series.
According to the teaser image, the Stand-wielding mercenary Hol Horse from the Stardust Crusaders arc will join Josuke.
Author Kohei Kadono of Purple Haze Feedback, and Tasuku Karasuma, No Guns Life author will take care of the story.
Previously, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8: JoJolion, the long-running story since 2011 came to an end on August 19th, 2021 in the September issue of Ultra Jump (Shueisha).
In addition, the manga author Hirohiko Araki confirmed in the same issue that another Jojo story will be coming as the first-ever spin-off this winter.
The new Josuke-focused series is not the only Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure spinoff to be revealed lately: Japanese TV network NHK recently showed off a new image from its Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe miniseries, which originally debuted in Japan last year and will return this December for another run of three episodes.
