Ren Eguchi’s isekai light novel, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is getting adapted into an anime, produced by MAPPA.
The anime will be released in January 2023 and will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and others in Japan.
A new key visual and main cast details were unveiled to commemorate the announcement.

Yuma Uchida as Tsuyoshi Mukoda
Description:
An ordinary office worker summoned to another world. His unique skill “Net Super” allows him to order products from his original world. He is good at cooking

I remember how excited I was when I was chosen for the role because the theme of the work was cooking.
In this work, I am not reincarnated into another world and play an active role as a hero, but rather, I travel around the other world in a relaxed manner, which makes me feel at home. And above all, the food in this work looks delicious. We hope you will relax and enjoy this work as a healing experience in your daily life.
Satoshi Hino as Fel
Description:
A legendary monster with great power. Became a follower for Mukouda’s cuisine from another world. He eats anything but hates vegetables.
Comment:
I was very happy when I was chosen to play the role of Fel, because “Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill” is a very funny, heart-warming, and wonderful piece of work!
At the same time, when I heard about the cast around me, I was convinced that this would definitely be a fun project to work on (laughs). Fel’s charm is his dignity and strength, as well as his cute and playful personality (laughs).
(Laughs) You should not miss the way he eats and the expression on his face when he tastes the various dishes Mukoda makes for the first time!
Hina Kino as Sui
Description:
Newborn slime.
He becomes attached to Mukoda, who gave him food, and becomes a familiar demon. He fights for his Master (Mukoda). Cute.
Comment:
Sui is a baby slime, a very cute and plump character! I improvised to give her a slime-like appearance that is different from humans and animals. There are so many delicious-looking dishes in every episode of this work! I have always loved gourmet food, so I am very happy to be a part of this work.

Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is a Japanese light novel series written by Ren Eguchi. The series originated on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in January 2016. The series was later acquired by Overlap, who began publishing the series with illustrations by Masa on Nov 25, 2016 under their Overlap Novels imprint.
As of June 2022, twelve volumes have been released.
A manga adaptation, illustrated by Akagishi K, began serialization on the Comic Gardo website in March 2017. As of November 2021, the manga’s individual chapters have been collected into eight volumes.
A manga spin-off, illustrated by Momo Futaba, began serialization on the same website in August 2018. As of November 2021, the spin-off’s individual chapters have been collected into six volumes.
