Issue #10 of Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine revealed that Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro’s Dragon Ball Super manga will be going on a short indefinite hiatus, starting from issue #11 of the magazine, to prepare for the next arc of the manga.
A return date for the manga has not been specified.
Chapter 87 of Dragon Ball Super was published in this issue on Aug 19, 2022, bringing an end to Granolah the Survivor arc.
Victory Uchida, the editor of Dragon Ball Super, had announced last year that the arc was approaching its climax. A new arc was already in the works.
Written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou, Dragon Ball Super is a Japanese manga and anime series that follows on from the original Dragon Ball manga. Having a monthly release schedule, it began serialization in Shueisha’s shōnen monthly manga magazine V-Jump in June 2015.
The chapters of the manga have been compiled into 19 tankobon volumes as of August 2022.
The franchise’s second anime movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, is currently running in theatres in Japan and North America. The movie garnered over 5 Million USD in its opening weekend in Japan.
It will release in India in Japanese, English and Hindi, on Aug 26, 2022.
