The popularity of Kobeni’s car in the Chainsaw Man fandom is no secret. This became quite evident when the results for a recent Chainsaw Man popularity poll was published by Viz.

In the August 2022 poll results, Kobeni’s Car came in at 4th position beating both Makima and Pochita. Makima could only manage a 6th place finish in the polls, while Pochita was at the 9th place.

The owner of the car too was not spared as Kobeni could only manage a 5th place finish. Power, Denji and Aki meanwhile topped the poll results.

The top ten characters from the poll are as follows;

1. Power
2. Denji
3. Aki
4. Kobeni’s Car
5. Kobeni
6. Makima
7. Reze (Bomb Devil)
8. Beam
9. Pochita
10. Angel Devil

This is not the first time that Kobeni’s Car has made a surprise entry into the top 10 of Chainsaw Man‘s popularity poll.

The Japanese poll results from 2020 also featured Kobeni’s car, as it bagged the 7th place overcoming both Kobeni and Pochita. The top ten characters from the 2020 poll were as follows;

4. Reze
5. Denji
6. Angel Devil
7. Kobeni’s Car
8. Kobeni
9. Pochita
10. Yoshida

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from Dec 2018, with its chapters collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. As of December 2021, the manga had over 12 million copies in circulation.

The second part of the manga began serialization on July 13, 2022, with the first chapter crossing 2.5 million views on Jump+ within the first day.

The manga was nominated for the 13th Manga Taisho awards in 2019, and ranked at #4 on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2020 (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook’s top manga for male readers. The manga won in the Best Shōnen Manga category at the 66th Shogakukan Manga Awards in January.

Additionally, the manga topped the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2021 list for male readers. Chainsaw Man also won the Best Manga award at The Harvey Awards in October 2021.
