Jacksonville Jaguars Post Attack On Titan Inspired Poster Before Their AFC South Division Final

Before their all-important clash with Tennessee Titans in the finals of ‘2022 American Football Conference South Division’, US Football Team Jacksonville Jaguars tweeted an Attack on Titan inspired poster teasing the face-off on Jan 7, 2023.

The poster featured Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor Lawrence all fired up, and Titans’ Derrick Henry looming over the Jaguars’ home ground, TIAA Bank Field, in a manner reminiscent of the iconic Attack on Titan poster.

The tweet had the caption, “Dedicate your heart.”

Jacksonville Jaguars went on the defeat the Titans, just as the Scout Regiment of Eldia managed to defeat their adversaries. The final score read 20-16 to Jaguars. This is their first AFC South Division title since 2017.

The win earned them a playoff spot and they will host either Los Angeles Chargers or the Baltimore Ravens next week.

This is not the first time that US Football has embraced Attack on Titan, with the Super Bowl LVI finalists, Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, dropping an Attack on Titan inspired advertisement last year in February.

Later that year, in May 2022, Los Angeles Chargers posted their official game schedules and game lineups for the forthcoming regular season in an anime-inspired trailer.

European football clubs too had their fair share of anime inspired posters, with Spanish football club Real Betis posting a Chainsaw Man illustration to promote their first match-day in La Liga last year.
