Bungo Stray Dogs series will be getting a spin-off manga series titled ‘Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Age Fifteen‘. It will be an adaptation of the light novel of the same name written by Kafka Asagiri.
Bungo Stray Dogs: Dazai, Chuuya, Age Fifteen centers on the first meeting between Osamu Dazai and Chuuya Nakahara and the latter’s incorporation into the Port Mafia.
The light novel was released by Kadokawa on Aug 1, 2019. The English version of the light novel, licensed by Yen Press, was released on Dec 14, 2021.
The spin-off manga will be drawn by Shiwasu Hoshikawa, who was also in charge of drawing the manga adaptation of Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST light novel. Bungo Stray Dogs: BEAST manga was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace magazine from December 2019 to January 2022.
Bungo Stray Dogs is a manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Harukawa 3 5. It started serializing in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine from Dec 4, 2012, with its chapters collected into 22 tankobon volumes. The manga also has multiple light novel spin-offs written by Asagiri and illustrated by Harukawa.
An anime adaptation by Bones aired in 2016 in two parts. Recently, a new season of Bungo Stray Dogs was green-lit, with anime’s official twitter account and Crunchyroll confirming the news. A new visual drawn by character designer and animation director Nobuhiro Arai was also released to commemorate the news.
Two spin-off manga of Bungo Stray Dogs based on the light novels written by Asagiri are currently being serialized in Kadokawa Shoten.
