The official website of the forthcoming Blue Lock anime revealed three cast members who will voice Rin Itoshi, Jyubei Aryu and Aoshi Tokimitsu.

The newly announced cast members along with their comments regarding their roles are as follows:

Kouki Uchiyama as Rin

Comment:

Rin Itoshi is a highly skilled player and the younger brother of already famous player Sae Itoshi. His personality looks cool at first glance, but he hides a hot fighting spirit behind it. I’m trying to complete his character while cherishing what he’s thinking in his heart.

Katsuyuki Konishi as Aryu

Comment:

I liked the original “Blue Rock” and read it. The enemy is yourself. It’s very exciting!
(Jyubei Aryu) A stylish person with long hair.

Shinnosuke Tachibana as Tokimitsu

Comment:

I haven’t had many opportunities to play a negative character so far, so I’d like to grasp that area firmly and play it as a character’s personality. Also, I think that the recording site is a clash of character personalities. I want to leave my mark so as not to lose.

Blue Lock anime is set to make its debut on Oct 8, 2022 in Japan. It will be broadcast on TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation programming block.

The opening theme “Chaos ga Kiwamaru,” will be performed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN. The ending theme, titled “WINNER,” on the other hand, will be performed by Shugo Nakamura.

The manga’s anime adaptation is being done by Eight Bit studio and directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe with Shunsuke Ishikawa serving as assistant director. Music will be provided by Jun Murayama, Taku Kishimoto is handling series composition and the script, Masaru Shindō is providing the main character designs and serve as chief animation director, and Hisashi Tojima serving as the chief action director.

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha‘s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018. A spin-off manga focusing on Seishiro Nagi has also started serialization in the July issue of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine.

Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.
