The official Twitter account for Spy x Family anime announced on July 19, 2022, that they have crossed 1 million followers in the span of one and a half year, since its joining the platform on February 2021.
To commemorate this happy feat, an illustration of Anya, by the character designer, Kazuaki Shimada, was also unveiled.
The illustration depicts an excited Anya thanking the fans for one million followers.
“One million followers. Thankyou,” the illustration reads.
The staff of Spy x Family too took to twitter to thank the fans who followed them.
“Once again, to all of you who have followed us. Thank you..,” they wrote.
Spy × Family is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. It has been serialized biweekly on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ application and website since March 2019, with the chapters collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of April 2022.
An anime adaptation by Wit Studio and Cloverworks started airing on April 9, 2022. It became the most streamed anime in Japan in the month of May 2022. The first cour had 12 episodes and aired from April 9 to June 25, 2022.
The second cour of the anime will start airing in October 2022.
The series is directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, with character designs handled by Kazuaki Shimada, and music produced by [K]NoW_NAME.
The manga has exceeded over 350 million reads on the Shonen Jump+ digital platform and over 17 million copies of the collected volumes were printed (physically) and sold (digitally) in Japan.
Viz Media has licensed the series for English release in North America.
