Marvel Studio unveils a brand new illustration of the series “Moon Knight” by manga author Sui Ishida on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The visual features the dark hero Moon Knight and Tokyo Ghoul protagonist Ken Kaneki with the caption “Wearing the white madness”.
Ishida expressed excitement for the Moon Knight series, stating that the character’s “dark world, beautiful images, and themes of ‘sleep disorder’ and ‘insanity’ really attracted” him, eventually pairing the hero with Kaneki.
The collaboration is in commemoration of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight’s worldwide weekly streaming premiere on Disney+ and Ishida’s enthusiasm for the series.
After watching the first few episodes of the series, Ishida claimed that “I think I may like [Moon Knight] the most out of all the Marvel heroes.”
“I could feel the dark charm of the world filled with fast action scenes and rough violent scenes that make it hard to call [Moon Knight] a hero. I also liked the comical and sorrowful personality of the main character, Steven,” he continued.
Moon Knight is an American television miniseries created by Jeremy Slater for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics featuring the character of the same name. It is the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to be produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Slater serves as head writer with Mohamed Diab leading the directing team.
