That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime To Get Animated Shorts Featuring Ramiris

The official website for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime announced on Friday, March 18, 2022, that the franchise will be getting animated shorts featuring Ramiris.

The franchise’s official Twitter account also unveiled an exclusive key visual to commemorate the announcement.

The animation project will be a series of shorts of only two episodes, with the first one set to be released on Saturday, March 19, at 10:00 JST. The web episode is titled “Sukuwareru Ramiris (Saved Ramiris)”. The release date of the second episode has not been announced yet.

Ramiris’ special web episode will be accessible to watch on Bandai Spirits‘ Youtube channel for a limited time. In addition, a few episodes from the first season of Tensura starring Ramiris will also be available to watch till March 31.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novels, also known as TenSura, are written by Fuse, and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The story is about a salaryman who is murdered and reincarnates in a sword and sorcery world as a slime with unique powers and gathers allies to build his own nation of monsters.

Nineteen volumes of the light novel have been released as of November 2021. The light novel has been licensed in North America by Yen Press, who published the first volume in December 2017. The franchise also has a manga adaption by Taiki Kawakami.

An anime adaptation by Eight Bit aired from October 2018 to March 2019. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 aired from January to September 2021. Additionally, a movie is set to premiere in Fall 2022.
