The official website of the TV anime based on Alfred Yamamoto’s manga Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no by Shoumei Shitemita (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It) announced the title for its second season, yesterday. The second season title is “r=1-sinθ(Heart)“.
The second season will premier from January 2022 in Japan.
The title of the upcoming season, “Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no by Shoumei Shitemita. r=1-sinθ(Heart)” was decided through an online contest conducted from June 11 to June 30, 2021.
“r = 1-sinθ” is a reference to the graph in polar coordinates of the function in question, whose shape resembles a heart and which is visible on the official logo of the second season.
Additionally, to commemorate the second season, a special broadcast will take place at the Anidama Festival (Anime &/Manga Festival in Saitama) on October 23rd.
Furthermore, the first season of Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no by Shoumei Shitemita (Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It) will air once again on Nico Nico Video.
Alfred Yamamoto began publishing the manga through the website Comic Meteor from the publisher Flex Comix in March 2016.
The first twelve-episode season was produced by studio Zero-G, under the direction of Tohru Kitahata, and Rintarou Ikeda’s scripts, released in January 2020. The anime also inspired a live-action film and mini-series.
