Princess Connect! Re:Dive will be returning for a second season. The news was announced on August 13 during a live streaming session on the smartphone game franchise. A new trailer and visual for Season 2 of the anime were also released.

Cygames Pictures is returning to direct the second season of Princess Connect. The original voice cast of the first season have also been retained for the anime. The first season was directed by Takaomi Kanasaki and he may return mostly to helm season 2 of the anime.

Based on an RPG game, the plot follows the protagonist who wakes up with no memories in an unfamiliar location. The protagonist then meets girls in this new location and gets closer to unraveling its mystery.
