Overlord IV To Release On July 5, Reveals New Theme Songs In 3rd Promotional Video

The series also has a film underway that will focus on the Sei Okoku-hen (Holy Kingdom arc) from the novels.

In the third promotional video of Overlord IV, Kadokawa revealed the release date for season 4 of the anime as July 5, 2022.

The series will be telecasted in Japan on AT-X, Tokyo MX, MBS, TV Aichi, and BS11.

The PV also revealed the opening and the ending theme songs of season 4. The opening song, “HOLLOW HUNGER” is performed by duo OxT (Masayoshi Oishi and Tom-Hack). While Mayu Maeshima performed the ending theme “No Man’s Dawn”.

The staff reprising their roles are Satoshi Hino as Ains Ooal Gown, Yumi Hara as Albedo, Sumire Uesaka as Shalltear Bloodfallen, Emiri Kato as Aura Bella Fiora, Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, and Kenta Miyake as Cocytus.

Along with the returning voice cast, Naoyuki Itou is reprising his role as director at Madhouse Studio. Yuki Sugawara will also be reprising the role of writer and series script supervisor, along with Satoshi Tasaki returning as character designer.

The illustrator of the series, so-bin, has stated that the 10th volume of the novel is being adapted in this season, which the illustrator enjoys.

The original light novel series began in 2010. It was written by Kugane Maruyama. Kadokawa’s Enterbrain began printing and publishing the series in 2012 which consisted of illustration by so-bin.

Yen Press releases the novel in North America. It also releases the manga adaptation by Hugin Miyama and Satoshi Oshio.
