One Piece Manga To Release 92 Volumes For Free Online As Part Of 25th Anniversary

The schedule for One Piece day special streaming has also been revealed.

The official website of One Piece manga’s 25th anniversary revealed that the first 92 volumes of the manga will be made available online for free, starting June 27, 2022, as part of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

The chapters will be released in 3 sets, with chapter 1 to chapter 303 of the manga being available to read for free in the first set till July 10, 2022.

These chapters are from the first three sagas of One Piece, namely the East Blue Saga, the Alabasta Saga and the Sky Island Saga, and covers the manga’s first 30 volumes.

Volumes 30 – 61 of the manga will be released in the second set, starting July 11, 2022, and will be available to read till July 24, 2022. In the final set, which starts from July 25, 2022, Volumes 61 – 92 will be released.

The free chapters will be available on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Plus and Zebraic platforms. The 25th anniversary website has an interactive episode map, titled One Piece Island, which lets users track their progress in reading the chapters.

A special streaming event has been planned on July 22nd and 23rd for the celebration of One Piece manga’s 25th anniversary among other things. July 22 is also celebrated as the One Piece Day to commemorate the start of the manga’s serialization.

A complete schedule for the two days of special stream was revealed One Piece Day’s official website.

This includes the previously announced world premiere of the One Piece Film: Red at Nippon Budokan Livestream on July 22, 2022, and One Piece trivia battles, unveiling of the Jinbei statue at Kumamoto prefecture, an information section, etc., on July 23, 2022.

A tweet from Eichiro Oda’s staff said, “The manga has started its break, but One Piece will still be fired up this Summer!”

A new promotional video was also streamed for the One Piece Day celebrations.

Oda had announced on June 7, 2022, that One Piece manga will go on a month long hiatus starting from issue #30 of Weekly Shonen Jump releasing on June 27. The manga will resume and start its final arc in the 34th issue, which will go on sale on July 25.

Oda will be using the break to “reorganize the last arc”.

The first chapter of One Piece manga was published on July 22, 1997 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. As of June 27, the manga has released 1053 chapters and 102 volumes.

One Piece was the best-selling manga for eleven consecutive years from 2008 to 2018 and is the only manga that had an initial print of volumes of above 3 million continuously for more than 10 years.

It is also the only manga that has achieved more than 1 million copies sold in all of its 100 published tankobon volumes.
