The official Twitter account of Kyoto Animation announced on 31st May, Monday that the “Kyoto Animation Thanks Event” will return after 4 years of hiatus as “KyoAni Music Festival” on November 20th and 21st at the main hall of ROHM Theater, Kyoto.
KyoAni has conducted occasional events such as exhibitions, talk stages, screenings, orchestras, and brass band concerts in the past. This is the first time a through “Music Live Event” will be held by this studio.
“KYOANI MUSIC FESTIVAL-Inspiration to the Future-” will be the first music festival by Kyoto Animation as the fifth fan appreciation event for the first time in four years. Artists who sang the theme songs of successive works by Kyoto Animation will meet together in this event. In addition, the official event website and Twitter (@kyoani_event) have opened. Performing artists and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
Kyoto Animation last held a fan appreciation event in 2017. The company had planned a similar event in 2019 but due to the deadly fire at Kyoto Animation’s Studio 1 building on July 18, 2019, the event couldn’t take place. The studio eventually changed the event into a free public memorial for the victims of the fire.
