The anime streaming giant Crunchyroll along with Aniplex of America announced that they will be releasing Kaguya-Same Love Is War The First Kiss That Never Ends movie on February 14 i.e. Valentines Day in North America for a two day special event.

The movie will be in Japanese with English subtitles. Fans can purchase the tickets of the movie on Fandango

The movie released in Japan on December 17 and it ranked at #8 in its opening weekend.

The arc takes place after the end of the anime’s third season.

Masayuki Suzuki performed opening theme song for the film. The opening theme is “Love is Show”.

Vice-president Kaguya Shinomiya and student council president Miyuki Shirogane met at Shuchiin Academy’s student council . After a long love battle, the two geniuses communicated their feelings to each other and kissed for the first time at the Annual Cultural Festival. However, they have not reached a clear confession yet, and the relationship between the two, who were thought to be lovers, remains ambiguous, and they come to Christmas with a stronger awareness of each other. Shirogane “wants to be perfect” and Kaguya seeks to be “not perfect”. This is a very “ordinary” love story by geniuses. First kiss never ends.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War: The First Kiss Never Ends anime film will follow the events of season 3.

The new anime movie is also the first ever anime movie for the series.

Like the previous seasons, A-1 Pictures will be in charge of animating the movie. A-1 Pictures’ producer Kenshiro Yamada said that the events of arc in question will only take up about two hours of screen time and it made sense for it to be made into a movie.

The key cast from previous seasons will be returning to reprise their role in the movie. Character Designer and animation director Yuko Yahiro too is set to return as a staff member for the upcoming Kaguya Sama movie.

Kaguya Sama: Love Is War is a manga series written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. It began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Miracle Jump in May 2015 and was transferred to Weekly Young Jump in March 2016.

A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by A-1 Pictures aired in Japan from January to March 2019. A second season aired from April to June 2020. An OVA episode was released in 2021. Kaguya Sama Season 3 aired on April 8, 2022.

Shuchiin Academy’s student council room, the place where Student Council Vice President Kaguya Shinomiya and President Miyuki Shirogane met. After a long battle in love, these two geniuses communicated their feelings and, at the Hoshin Festival, had their very first kiss. However, there was no clear confession of love. The relationship between these two, who assumed they would be a couple, remains ambiguous. Now, overly conscious of their feelings, they must face the biggest challenge yet: Christmas.
