Dragon Quest anime will hold its first ever independent art exhibition. The exhibition will be held from Aug 11 to 28 at Exhibition Hall D on the second floor of the Sunshine City Bunka Kaikan Building in Tokyo as well as in Nagoya and Osaka.
The exhibition will feature a photo spot of Hyunkeru using illustrations and scenes from the original work. In addition, there will be an interview with Riku Sanjo, the original author of the story along with color paper display of illustrations by Koji Inada.
The merchandise to be sold at the venue include a reflection keychain in the shape of the dragon’s crest, magnets of the characters and various designs, molded pen cases, and products using original illustrations.
Dragon Quest: Dai No Daiboken is written by Riku Sanjo, illustrated by Koji Inada, and supervised by Yuji Horii. The series was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha from 1989 to 1996. It received a TV anime adaptation in 1991 and ran till 1992. The series also received a refurbished anime adaptation.
