I would describe Shimoneta as a hilarious joyride that is crude and outrageous. A society that has outlawed vulgarity? A panty-masked and barely dressed high-school vigilante girl fighting against it? This show has it all!

The plot is set in a dystopian future, where Japan has outlawed all forms of vulgarity, including dirty jokes! Enter Ayame Ayano, the panty-masked leader of the underground resistance group SOX (Society of Sex Education).

They fight for the freedom of filthy humor through outrageous pranks and… well, let’s just say their methods are anything but subtle. Ayame recruits Tanukichi Okuma, a perverted protagonist with a hidden past, to be her unwilling accomplice.

Shimoneta is the peak of crude humor and revels in its own vulgarity. The anime does get a bit repetitive in the middle, but if you are able to sit through that, you have a hilarious and outrageous ecchi anime in your hands! Definitely would have been top five best ecchi anime if there were more seasons to it.

11. The Testament of Sister New Devil

This series is very similar to Highschool DxD in terms of its overall feel, as it offers a great mix of fantasy, demonic politics, and a forbidden harem. High schooler Basara Toujou’s life changes overnight when his father remarries, introducing two attractive step-sisters: Mio, heir to the Demon Lord, and Maria, a seductive succubus.

Through a contractual mishap, Basara becomes their master, triggering intense physical side-effects whenever obedience is enforced.

While the series boasts a lot more ecchi than DxD, pushing boundary after boundary, the plot and execution could have been better overall. Still, it remains a very solid ecchi anime for viewers who primarily care about the other “plot”.

12. Highschool of the Dead

When a sudden zombie infection ravages Japan, high schooler Takashi Komuro is forced into a brutal struggle for survival alongside his childhood friend Rei Miyamoto.

They join forces with a capable band of survivors, including the sword-wielding Saeko Busujima, marksman Kouta, sharp-tongued Saya, and their voluptuous school nurse Shizuka, as they navigate a collapsed society. C’mon, does this anime need a special introduction?

This ecchi anime excels at world-building and story development, though the anime drops off at a crucial point after the second season. Even so, it has handled the supernatural and action elements quite well. P.S. definitely watch the OVA for some uncut fun.

If you want a classic dose of fantasy magic alongside your ecchi, The Familiar of Zero delivers.

Is This A Zombie? is a slapstick outrageous comedy anime, which also has an ecchi harem in it. So, while the plot might not be very deep or serious, the anime is absolutely enjoyable and also lewd.

The story centers on Ayumu Aikawa, an ordinary high school student murdered by a serial killer and resurrected as an immortal zombie by a mute necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. Ayumu’s bizarre undead life gets exponentially wilder when he accidentally absorbs the magical powers of a fiery young warrior named Haruna, forcing him to transform into a frilly pink dress and wield a chainsaw to battle demonic monsters known as Megalo.

His household rapidly expands to include vampire ninjas and magical maidens, all residing under one roof. Packed with ridiculous fanservice situations where both the heroines and the cross-dressing male lead end up in compromising positions, this anime delivers over the top double-entendre comedy.

20. Chained Soldier

The best aspect of Chained Soldier for me was it unique worldbuilding and a compelling power dynamic… and of course the ecchi elements.

When portals open to the demonic Mato dimension, peaches found within grant supernatural abilities exclusively to women, reshaping human society. After high schooler Yuuki Wakura gets trapped in Mato, he is rescued by Kyouka Uzen, Chief of the 7th Anti-Demon Squad. Forming a contractual pact, Yuuki transforms into her formidable combat mount to slay monsters.

But things aren’t so straightforward. The magical contract obligates Kyouka to bestow explicit physical rewards upon Yuuki after every battle, leading to tantalizing encounters with various squad maidens. To be honest, the teasing can be a bit frustrating at times when full satisfaction is delayed.

The second season of the anime improves a lot more on the first one, making it definitely a part of our list (if the first season were equally good, it would have ranked much higher).

21.Freezing

In a world invaded by extra-dimensional alien entities known as Novas, humanity relies on genetically enhanced warrior maidens called Pandoras, who are paired with male Limiters capable of deploying field-freezing abilities.

Packed with revealing battle damage and striking sci-fi action, Freezing delivers a steady scene of steamy ecchi scenes with some good action. The anime has a sequel, but the story branches off a bit in that one!

With stunning animation from Studio Madhouse, clever intellectual battles, and plenty of playful fanservice involving warbeasts and royal maidens, it remains a staple in this genre. The anime certainly would have ranked higher if it had more seasons, and maybe more ecchi?

23. Monster Musume

Monster Musume is set in a unique world where demi-human species are being integrated into human society. Laid-back bachelor Kimihito Kurusu accidentally becomes a host for the interspecies exchange program, starting with a stunning snake-like Lamia named Miia.

Soon, his house is overflowing with gorgeous monster maidens, including a centaur, a harpy, and a mermaid, who constantly compete to seduce him. But that’s where the catch is, as any interspecies relationship is forbidden by the government. You know what follows next don’t you? Blue balls.

Despite the heavy sensuality and intense physical tension, the show maintains a surprisingly wholesome heart throughout.

Why The Hell Are You Here, Teacher!? is an anime that takes accidental intimate encounters to the absolute maximum. The narrative revolves around four distinct pairings of high school male students and their drop-dead gorgeous female teachers, with a new pair being the focus in each arc.

However, while the anime is crazy enjoyable, the ecchi doesn’t go much beyond the foodgasms and drops a lot in the later seasons. So, naturally, ranks lower than the others in this list.

While it doesn’t have a great overarching plot, it is very strong on the ecchi side. I don’t have to specifically say it, but the anime is filled with suggestive and sometimes wholesome situations as the couple embarks on this new chapter in their lives.
