Adult Swim Canada To Air Rick And Morty: The Anime & Junji Ito’s Uzumaki

Adult Swim will also air the horror anime, Housing Complex C in the same period.

The official website for Corus Entertainment revealed that Rick and Morty: The Anime and the anime adaptation of Junji Ito’s Uzumaki will air on Adult Swim Canada during the year 2022 and 2023.

Rick and Morty: The Anime, which consist of 10 episodes, will be directed by Takashi Sano at Telecom Animation Film. The series will be an original standalone show, with adapted themes and events from the main Rick and Morty animated series.

It was earlier revealed that Adult Swim and HBO will be airing the series.

Uzumaki, which was previously slated to release on Toonami in 2020 before its Japanese premier, was postponed to 2021. It then got rescheduled again to 2022 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Hiroshi Nagahama will be directing the 4 episode Uzumaki anime at Studio Drive, with Colin Stetson composing the music. The mini-series is coproduced by Adult Swim along with Production I.G. USA.

Additionally, Adult Swim will also air the horror anime, Housing Complex C in the same period. Housing Complex C is being directed Yuji Nara. Animation studio, Akatsuki, is in charge of animating the series.

Additional details about the exact date and time of airing will be revealed on a later date.

Adult Swim is an American adult-oriented night-time programming block of the basic cable network Cartoon Network.

Debuting in 2001, Adult Swim serves as the night-time identity of Cartoon Network, and it was established as alternative programming during late night hours when Cartoon Network’s primary target audience would normally be sleeping.

As with Cartoon Network, Adult Swim’s reach through various services totals 94 million American adults as of March 2021.
