This year’s Crunchyroll Expo had a treat for Mushoku Tensei diehards as they exhibited a full scale version of Roxy Migurdia’s panties at the event.
In both anime and the light novels, Rudeus Greyrat, the protagonist, worships Roxy as the first goddess of his exclusive religion and considers her panties as a holy relic. He gets his hands on them in the first episode, stealing it and then stashing it away as his personal treasure in a secret box.
This very same secret box was displayed at the event and with all its contents, even the panties.
However, this is not the first time Roxy Migurdia’s personal wear are being displayed for fans. The same box was displayed at the AnimeJapan 2022, at the exhibition space of Hakuhodo DY Music & Picture, in collaboration with TOHO Animation.
Roxy Migurdia is a talented Migurdian mage and the mentor of Rudeus in Rifujin na Magonote’s Mushoku Tensei light novels. The light novels were published under Kadokawa’s M.F Books from January 2014. As of February 2022, over 10 million copies of the light novels have been sold worldwide.
A manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa began serialization in the June 2014 issue of Monthly Comic Flapper. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the tankōbon volumes of the manga for localization in North America, and is also distributing the light novel volumes in these regions.
An anime television series adaptation by Studio Bind aired from January to December 2021. A second season is set to release in 2023, the trailer for which was revealed at Anime Expo 2022.
The trailer had crossed 2 million views in the span of 2 days.
The series is about a jobless and hopeless man who dies after having a sad and withdrawn life and reincarnates in a fantasy world while keeping his memories, determined to enjoy his new life without regrets under the name Rudeus Greyrat.
