Studio Production IG and Wit Studio announced on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, that they have licensed Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, ABKK) to globally utilize NFT (Non-Fungible Token) from their anime works. Bubble, Vampire In The Garden, and Great Pretender will be the first to enter the NFT campaign effectively from June 2022.
Each work’s characters and famous scenes will be sold as NFT products with the goal of creating new ways to enjoy and engage with animations through NFT.
These products will be sold on the ABKK’s partner platforms at Hong Kong-based MadWorld Hong Kong and Singapore-based UCollex International Limited.
Previously, Rakuten And BANDAI NAMCO Pictures revealed that they will jointly release NFTs For TIGER & BUNNY 2. The project started in February 2022.
In addition, Toei Animation and Fanworks Studio are also planning to release NFT-based anime projects later this year.
Animoca Brands (Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd) is a Hong Kong-based game software company and venture capital company founded 2014 by Yat Siu.
It was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange from 23 January 2015 to 9 March 2020.
