Bandai Namco announced in a press release on Monday, Feb 28, 2022, that the company will offer a new compensation system from April 2022. The decision is a part of its next medium-term plan.
To stabilize employee income, the monthly salary to yearly compensation ratio will be increased, and the starting salary for new graduates will be increased by 30%, from 224,000 yen to 290,000 yen.
Besides new grads, all other employees will have an average boost of around 27%.
The aim of the current revision in remuneration is to increase employee motivation and revive the organization by upping the wage level.
Furthermore, the company-wide average annual income in 2021 is expected to increase by 110% compared to 2020 for Bandai Co., Ltd., and Bandai Spirits since they have performance-wise remuneration systems in place, which rewards bonuses that appropriately reflect business performance.
