The official website of Undead Unluck anime announced the voice cast for the main characters on Nov 21, 2022.

Newly announced cast and their comment are as follows:

Moe Kahara as Fuuko Izumo

My name is Moe Kahara, and I will be playing the role of Fuuko Izumo! Fuuko is a girl with a very kind heart who has both a cute side that is appropriate for her age and a strong and cool side that surprises everyone around her. I will play my role with great care so that Fuuko’s charm will be conveyed to the audience.
The original story is full of foreshadowing leading to a lot of different thoughts, and I was constantly moved by the emotions I felt while reading it: laughing, saddened, angry, nervous, and enraptured.
I wonder what kind of movements and expressions the characters will have in the anime, what will happen to Andy’s mosaic… I know there’s a lot to wonder about, so please do look forward to it!

Yuichi Nakamura as Andy

Nice to meet you! My name is Yuichi Nakamura, and I will be playing the role of Andy in this anime.
My impression of the original work is that it is “energetic”! However, it does not just run through with vigour, but also has a solid theme, and the more you read, the more fascinating it becomes. I hope to enjoy the anime as much as I did the original!

Additionally, it was also revealed that the main voice cast, Moe Kahara and Yuichi Nakamura, will be present on Undead Unluck stage event on Dec 17, in Jump Festa 2023. A new PV for the anime will be released during the event.

Undead Unluck is written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka. A one-shot chapter was published in Shueisha’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump in January 2019. The manga started its serialization in the 2020 8th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump on Jan 20, 2020.

Shueisha has compiled its chapters into individual tankōbon volumes. The first volume was published on April 3, 2020. As of July 4, 2022, twelve volumes have been published.

MyAnimeList describes the plot of Undead Unluck manga as:

After reading the conclusion of her favorite manga series, Fuuko Izumo finally feels ready to end her existence. For the past 10 years, Fuuko has been afflicted by a condition that brings extreme misfortune to anyone who touches her. This has had a drastic effect on her surroundings, even inadvertently resulting in the deaths of those around her—including her parents.

As she stands on a bridge above train tracks, Fuuko is touched by a strange man, causing the footing underneath him to break and dropping him in front of an oncoming train. However, when Fuuko finds the man’s corpse, she discovers that his body is regenerating and that he is coming back to life.

The man, whom Fuuko names Andy, is immortal—and like her, he also wishes for death. Initially dismissive, Fuuko eventually decides to team up with Andy to give him the best death possible; but a mysterious organization lurks in the shadows, hoping to take advantage of the duo’s bizarre abilities.
