Uncle From Another World Anime Episode 13 Gets Delayed Due To COVID

Episode 12 will be re-aired on Dec 29 instead.

The staff of Uncle From Another World anime announced on the official website that episode 13 will not be released as planned on Dec 29, 2022, due the rapid spread of COVID in China.

The production materials for episode 13 of the anime was ordered from a local company in China, and in order to maintain the quality the episode will be delayed.

In its stead episode 12 of Uncle From Another World will be re-aired. The broadcast schedule for episode 13 will be revealed at a later date.

The staff also apologised to the fans for the inconvenience caused due to the repeated delaying of episodes.

Due to the new coronavirus that is now spreading rapidly in China, we have had to delay the production of the video that we had ordered from a local company. In order to maintain the quality of the film, we have decided to postpone the broadcast and distribution of the film.

We sincerely apologize to the viewers who have been looking forward to the broadcast and to everyone concerned for the inconvenience and concern caused by the repeated postponement of the broadcast.

Uncle From Another World

Uncle From Another World anime had previously gone on a break for more than two months from episode 8 onwards due to the spread of COVID-19 among the staff.

The release date for the anime’s episode 5-8 had also been delayed for two weeks due to the increase in number of the COVID-19 cases within the production company, AtelierPontdarc. The episodes that were originally supposed to air starting on Aug 3, aired on Aug 17, 2022.

Uncle from Another World is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hotondoshindeiru. It started serialization on Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker in June 2018. As of February 2022, seven volumes have been released. The manga is licensed in North America by Yen Press.

An anime television series adaptation was announced on June 18, 2021. The series is produced by AtelierPontdarc and directed by Shigeki Kawai, with Kenta Ihara writing the series’ scripts, Kazuhiro Ota designing the characters, and Kenichiro Suehiro composing the music.

It premiered on July 6, 2022, on AT-X. The opening theme song is “story” by Mayu Maeshima, while the ending theme song is “Ichibanboshi Sonority” by Yuka Iguchi. The series is being streamed worldwide by Netflix.
