The official website of Demon Slayer anime dropped a new illustration by ufotable on Feb 3, 2023, to celebrate Setsubun Festival, a festival held in Japan on Feb 2,3, or 4, a day before the start of spring.
The illustration features Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Inosuke, Mitsuru, Tengen and Muichiro. They can be seen throwing around beans, a ritual practised to drive evil spirits away.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, with its chapters collected in 23 tankobon volumes.
It has been published in English by Viz Media and simultaneously published by Shueisha on their Manga Plus platform.
The first season of the anime adaptation produced by Ufotable aired from April to September 2019. A sequel film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, was released in October 2020. An 18-episode second season of the anime series aired from October 2021 to February 2022.
Demon Slayer season 3, titled titled Swordsmith Village Arc, is set to release in April 2023.
