Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Cour 2 Reveals April 2024 Release & New Visual

The official website of Mushoku Tensei announced on Dec 20, 2023, that the second cour of season 2 of the anime is schedule to release in April 2024.

A new teaser visual featuring Rudeus and Sylphie was also revealed to commemorate the announcement. The visual depicts Rudeus and Sylphy walking happily while holding hands in a winter landscape.

Mushoku Tensei season 2 cour 1 started airing July 2, 2023, and will run till September 2023, followed by the second cour scheduled for April 2024 to June 2024.

The season will have a total of 25 episodes.

Mushoku Tensei season 2 saw a change in staff members.

Hiroki Hirano has replaced Manabu Okamoto to direct the new season, with Toshiya Ono handling the series composition. Sanae Shimada will be in charge of the character designs.

Staff that will be reprising their roles include:

  • Art Director: Masakazu Miyake
  • Music: Yoshiaki Fujisawa
  • Animation Production: StudioBind

It was previously revealed that Yumi Uchiyama will continue voicing grown-up Rudeus, after her auditioning for the role.

LONGMAN performed the opening theme song “spiral,” while the ending theme song “Musubime” is performed by Yuiko Ohara.

An advanced screening of the first two episodes of Mushoku Tensei season 2 was held on June 25, 2023.

Crunchyroll will be simulcasting the Mushoku Tensei season 2 along with Japan in  North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

Season 1 of the anime aired from January to December 2021 in two cours.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a Japanese light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. Originally published on the internet web novel website Shosetsuka ni Naro in November 2012, a year later it was announced the series would receive a print release under Media Factory’s MF Books imprint with illustrations done by a Pixiv user called Shirotaka.

A manga adaptation by Yuka Fujikawa began serialization in the June 2014 issue of Monthly Comic Flapper. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the tankōbon volumes of the manga for localization in North America. The company also has licensed the original light novels.

As of February 2022, over 10 million copies of the light novels have been sold worldwide.
