During the Road to STONE OCEAN special panel on the Netflix Festival Japan 2021 live stream today, Warner Bros. Japan unveiled four new promotional videos for the anime series of Hirohiko Araki’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean manga.

The videos revealed the prison break starts on Netflix around the world on December 1, with the first 12 episodes released at once.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6 Stone Ocean follows Jolyne Cujoh as she goes to prison for a crime she didn’t commit, set 10 years after the events of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

Stone Ocean is the sixth installment of Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. It follows the story of Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Stardust Crusaders protagonist Jotaro Kujo. Sentenced to prison for 15 years for a crime she did not commit.

Netflix will stream the anime before it airs on television in Japan in January on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. It is scheduled to start TV broadcasting from Saturday, January 22, 2022

Part 6 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, titled Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures: STONE OCEAN was originally set to have a monthly release schedule on Netflix. However, this was removed from the streaming giant’s platform only to come back this December.

David Production will be animating the Stone Ocean with Director Toshiyuki Kato at the helm. The other staff members of the anime include;

• Series Composer- Kobayashi Yasuko, who has worked on all parts.
• Character Designer- Shino Masanori
• Stand Designer- Ishimoto Shunichi (sub character designer for Diamond is Unbreakable, character Designer for Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, Chief Animation Director for Golden Wind)
• Sound Director- Iwanami Yoshikazu (has worked on all the anime parts)
• Music Composer- Kanno Yugo (has worked with the series since Stardust Crusaders)

The opening theme of Stone Ocean will be performed by Ichigo from Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets.

The Stone Ocean arc of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga ran from 1999 to 2003 and has 17 volumes, consisting of volumes 64 through 80 of the overall manga.
