Jujutsu Kaisen panel at Jump Fest 2024’s Jump Super Stage Red, which was held on Dec 16, 2023, screened a special message from mangaka Gege Akutami, revealing that the series is likely approaching its conclusion.
“This is probably, absolutely the last Jump Festa held while Jujutsu Kaisen is being serialized,” Akutami shared, suggesting that the series might come to an end by the time of the next Jump Festa in December 2024.
However, it is to be kept in mind that Akutami’s had previously indicated at Jump Festa ’23 in December 2022, that the manga will conclude in 2023.
“If you accompany me for up to one more year (probably), I will be very happy.”
In addition to the message, the cover for Jujutsu Kaisen volume 25 was also unveiled.
Moreover, the panel also revealed that Gege Akutami will be holding a Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition in Tokyo in Summer 2024.
“Since Jujutsu Kaisen is drawn in digital, strictly speaking, there are no original drawings. We thought a lot about what to do and decided to show the remaining storyboards, drafts, and the works of the assistants, which are usually hidden by the characters, speech bubbles, and so on. Our goal is to make visitors think, ‘I feel like I can draw manga too!’ Please look forward to it!“
