Japanese Fans Reveal Top 10 Studio Ghibli Houses They Want To Live In

In a recent survey conducted by Japan Trend Research in collaboration with Logos Home Co., Ltd., Japanese fans revealed top 10 Ghibli houses they want to live in.

The survey, titled “Ghibli Houses You Want to Live In,” took place from June 3 to June 9, 2023, and attracted the participation of 1,000 fans nationwide. Respondents, comprising both men and women across various age groups, were asked to choose their desired Ghibli character’s house and share the reasons behind their choices.

The survey was topped by Satsuki and Mei’s house from My Neighbour Totoro, followed by Howl’s Castle from Howl’s Moving Castle.

  • It seems fun to live in a house with magic. I want to experience the world I watched in the anime.

  • In the countryside of the great outdoors, I want to feel the scent and sound of the wind. The spacious grounds make me want to go on adventures.”
  • It has a nostalgic and beloved atmosphere.
  • I really love Totoro and have watched it many times! If I lived in that house, I wonder if I would encounter Totoro someday.

For those who voted, these houses were more than just architectural wonders; they represented a gateway to a realm of wonder and imagination. The survey highlights the profound impact that Studio Ghibli films have had on audiences, creating a yearning to be part of these extraordinary stories.
