HxH & Konosuba VA Cristina Vee Deletes Twitter Amid Harassment Over False Zionist Accusation

Cristina Vee, a prominent American voice actress known for her roles in anime series like Konosuba and Hunter x Hunter, has permanently deleted her Twitter account following online harassment. The incident stemmed from a false accusation labeling her as a “Zionist,” which sparked a wave of online abuse.

The harassment began after Vee was included in a list of purported “Zionist” voice actors, compiled and posted by a user identified as @WhereIsmeCake. This quickly gained traction online, leading to targeted harassment directed at Vee, including hateful messages, escalating to death threats and online harassment campaigns.

Despite the user retracting Vee’s name from the list and issuing an apology acknowledging the mistake, the damage had already been done.

Vee, overwhelmed by the negativity and emotional toll of the harassment, made the decision to permanently delete her Twitter account. In a series of tweets before deactivating her account, she expressing gratitude to those who came to her defense and debunked the false claims.

However, she revealed that the onslaught of hateful messages, including calls for self-harm and labelling her as a “horrible person,” had taken a toll on her mental health.
