In a much awaited update, the Chainsaw Man panel at Jump Festa ’24 announced that the series is getting an anime film, which will adapt the ‘Reze arc’ of the manga.

Titled Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, the character Reze will be voiced by Reina Ueda.

A teaser trailer and a key visual featuring Reze were revealed to commemorate the announcement. Further details are yet to be revealed.

 Chainsaw Man aired in Japan from Oct 11, 2022, to Dec 27, 2022.

The anime had 12 episodes with a different ending theme song for each episode.

Chainsaw Man is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Its first arc was serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020; its second arc began serialization in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ online magazine in July 2022.

Its chapters have been collected in 16 tankōbon volumes as of December 2023.
