The official website of The Ancient Magus’ Bride anime started streaming its first trailer for the second season on Jan 12, 2023. The trailer revealed that The Ancient Magus Bride Season 2 will release on April 6, 2023 in Japan.

The anime will be broadcast of Tokyo MX (22:00 hrs JST), BS11 and AT-X channels.

Crunchyroll will be streaming the anime worldwide except Asia. In Japan, Prime Video and Hikari TV will stream The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2.

Studio Kafka is in charge of animating the upcoming season.

In addition to the trailer, additional cast who will be voicing new characters in the upcoming season were also revealed.

The Ancient Magus’ Bride is a manga written and illustrated by Kore Yamazaki, with its chapters collected into 17 volumes as of March 2022. It began serialization in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine from November 2013. It was shifted to Monthly Comic Garden after September 2014 when Comic Blade magazine ceased publishing.

The manga is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment.

A three-part prequel anime OVA was produced by Wit Studio and an anime television series aired from October 2017 to March 2018.

An original three-part OVA series by Studio Kafka was released in September 2021.
