Cartoon Network had a surprise in store for Dragon Ball Z fans at Mumbai Comic Con 2023. The channel announced that they will be releasing Dragon Ball Z Kai in India.
The anime will air on the channel in summer this year. The exact release date was not revealed.
Cartoon Network’s booth at Mumbai Comic Con also aired a special promo video for Dragon Ball Z fans, to give them a glimpse of the show. The anime will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Dragon Ball Z Kai, also known as Dragon Ball Kai, is a revised version of the anime series Dragon Ball Z, produced in commemoration of its 20th anniversary. It remastered high definition picture, sound, and special effects as well as a re-recorded voice track by most of the original cast.
The aspect ratio was also changed from 4:3 to 16:9.
Dragon Ball Z Kai was originally broadcast in Japan on Fuji TV from April 5, 2009 to March 27, 2011. A follow-up series, which adapts the remaining story arcs from the original manga, was aired in Japan from April 6, 2014 to June 28, 2015.
Cartoon Network India had recently aired Dragon Ball Super anime in India, starting from May 2022.
