The official website of New York Comic Con revealed on October 3, 2022 that they will be hosting various VA’s from various series along with Goro Taniguchi, director of One Piece Film Red. In addition, the mangakas of Ultraman, Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi will also be present.

Goro Taniguchi will be present at the Toei and Crunchyroll panel dedicated to One Piece Film Red on October 8 at 10: 45 AM EDT.

Whereas, Ultraman mangakas will be present at Viz’s Official Panel featuring Ultraman on October 7 at 3:00 PM EDT.

The Toei Animation & Crunchyroll Presents One Piece Film Red Panel is also going to host the producers of the movie, Hiroaki Shibata and Shinji Shimizu.

The voice actors adorning the stage are Chris Sabat, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Ian Sinclair, Luci Christian, and Sonny Strait along with Crunchyroll’s Managing Editor of News, Kyle Cardine.

Shin Ultraman film released in Japan on May 13, 2022, becoming the #1 film in the Japanese box office in its first week. As of July, it garnered a total of 4,165,925,800 yen (about US$30.58 million).

Shin Ultraman is a 2022 Japanese superhero kaiju film directed by Shinji Higuchi and produced and written by Hideaki Anno. A reimagining of Ultraman, the film is a co-production between Toho Studios and Cine Bazar, and presented by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho Co., Ltd, and Khara, Inc.

It is the 37th film in the Ultraman franchise, and the second reboot of a tokusatsu series to be adapted by Anno and Higuchi, after Shin Godzilla, with Shin Kamen Rider to follow in 2023.

The film stars Takumi Saitoh, Masami Nagasawa, Hidetoshi Nishijima, Daiki Arioka, and Akari Hayami, with Anno and Bin Furuya as Ultraman.

The plot of the film is described as:

With the emergence of giant, violent monsters known as “S-Class Species,” the Japanese government has formed the SSSP to study and formulate how to defeat them. During one such monster attack, the SSSP is shocked to gain a new ally in their fight against the monsters: a silent silver giant who they name “Ultraman.” Yet, what are Ultraman’s true goals?
