Rumors were already all over the internet from last week for Tokyo Ghoul creator Sui Ishida‘s new manga Choujin X to become a weekly series from October.
The 43rd issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine and the official Twitter account of Sui Ishida confirmed today that Choujin X will begin serializing in the magazine from the 46th issue which will be released on October 14.
The manga already serializes on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump manga website.
Additionally, Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website are both publishing the manga digitally in English as chapters are released in Japan.
Ishida already hinted to turn the series weekly in his 7 hours long Youtube stream on 17th September, even though he said to drop chapters “at his own pace” during the Choujin X manga release announcement on May 10, 2021.
MangaPlus describes it as a “superpowered choujin battle action” series. Viz Media had a better quip in their description, which said that “Sometimes to fight a monster, you must become one!”
Sui Ishida achieved fame for his work in Tokyo Ghoul. Weekly Young Jump serialized the manga from 2011 to 2014.
The second part of the manga, Tokyo Ghoul: Re serialized from 2014 to 2018. Viz Media released the English translation of both series.
