Fuji Television’s late-night anime slot “+Ultra” has agreed to a joint production system with Crunchyroll, Inc., a global anime streaming service, as a new partner, reported Crunchyroll on September 23.

Titles produced through the partnership will broadcast in Japan and Crunchyroll will stream them in more than 200 markets worldwide.

In addition, Slow Curve Co., LTD., a general creative company, will participate in the joint development of the new project, and a new production system will be launched starting in April 2022

Slow Curve, a segment involved in planning, production, and promotion of various entertainment content, especially animation, has decided to participate in the planning and development of animation for the world in addition to the marketing and production that it has been involved in for the “+Ultra”.

Upcoming titles in the works include a new project by manga author Tsutomu Nihei (Knights of Sidonia, BLAME!) and Polygon Pictures, as well as the original title Estab-Life, which comes from producer and director Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion).

Airing from 12:55 a.m. on Thursdays, the +Ultra slot started in October 2018 to present “Beastars,” “Drifting Dragons” and other shows.

Ahead of their collaboration, Crunchyroll will exclusively stream “Muv-Luv Alternative,” which began airing in October in Japan, in North America, Europe, and other countries and territories outside Asia.
