Goku and Vegeta Confirmed To Newscast The Tokyo Olympics Games In Mexico

TV Azteca, a major Spanish Television Network, has announced that it plans to cover the Tokyo Olympics 2020, with the members of the Azteca Deportes team acting as commentators for the whole event. In the announcement, they added that, amongst its members, Mario Castañeda and René García, Goku and Vegeta’s official voice actors in the ‘Dragon Ball’ Latin American dubbing, will have the funniest newscast of the games for social networks.

TV Azteca explains that their coverage of the Olympics Games will begin when Azteca Deportes presents Los Protagonistas heading to Tokyo 2020, an hour and a half program on Azteca 7. Every broadcast day will be filled with fun, humor, culture, and entertainment in addition to coverage of the 339 events from the 33 Olympic disciplines, they said.

Los Protagonistas will include prominent personalities from various fields. To give some examples, the Cañaveral Group , Emir Pabón and Joey Montana will provide the beats to the broadcast. Former athletes and experts from the disciplines such as: Luis Niño de Rivera , Luis Álvarez , Jennifer Cantú , Nelson Vargas Jr. , Guillermo Pérez , Ana Lago , Luis Rivera , Enriqueta Basilio , Mati Álvarez and Mariana Avitia , will be in the broadcasts.

According to the promo video launched by TV Azteca Deportes, ‘Los Juegos Z’ “the most powerful warriors in the Universe” (featuring Mario Castañeda and René García) will recap the day of the games.

TV Azteca Deportes is the sports division of Mexico’s TV Azteca network. It produces sports events as well as regular sports programming that airs on the Azteca Uno and Azteca 7 networks in Mexico, as well as Azteca América in the United States.

The Tokyo Olympics, delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic by a year, are scheduled to take place between July 23rd and August 8th. The inauguration at the Olympic Stadium will be on Friday, July 23 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Mexican Time – 6:00 a.m.
North American Time – 5:00 a.m.
Indian Standard Time – 4:30 p.m.
