The BRZRKR anime adaptation is slated to run for two seasons.

It was announced during the “Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR: The Immortal Saga Continues” panel at the San Diego Comic-Con that the comic BRZRKR, created by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt, will be adapted into an anime by Production I.G.

The BRZRKR anime adaptation is slated to run for two seasons.

Staff and cast details have not been revealed yet for the anime adaptation.

It was earlier announced on March 22, 2021, that Netflix was developing a live-action film adaptation and a follow-up anime series based on the comics with Reeves cast as the lead. In October 2021, Mattson Tomlin was writing the live-action film adaptation.

BRZRKR is a comic book series created and written by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt and drawn by Ron Garney. The comic follows an immortal warrior, known as Berzerker, as he fights his way through the ages.

The first issue of the 12-issue limited series was published on March 3, 2021 by Boom! Studios. It raised more than $1.4 million USD in its funding campaign on Kickstarter.

Netflix described the plot for BRZRKR as:

BRZRKR is a brutally epic saga about an immortal warrior’s 80,000 year fight through the ages. The man known only as “B” is half-mortal and half-god, , cursed and compelled to violence… even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the earth for centuries, B may have finally found a refuge – working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, B will be granted the one thing he desires – the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence…and how to end it.
