Sui Ishida‘s new manga, Choujin X, will stop its serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in the upcoming issue #2022/10. However, it will continue its serialization in the Tonari no Young Jump website.
A total of six chapters from Choujin X have been published in the Weekly Young Jump, with chapter 15 being the last one to be published in the magazine.
Choujin X was originally a Tonari no Young Jump series at the start. The manga shifted to Weekly Young Jump magazine from the 46th issue which released on Oct 14, 2021. This development happened even though Ishida had hinted that he would drop chapters “at his own pace” during the Choujin X manga release announcement on May 10, 2021.
Choujin X has been irregularly serialized in Tonari no Young Jump website since May 2021. As of January 2022, the chapters have been collected into 2 tankobon volumes. Both Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus are publishing the manga digitally in English as chapters are released in Japan.
MANGA Plus describes it as a “superpowered choujin battle action” series. Viz Media had a better quip in their description, which said that “Sometimes to fight a monster, you must become one!”
